8-day self guided bike trek along the famous Canal du Midi from Toulouse to Sete staying at hotels and chambre d'hotes specially selected by us.
The canal was built from 1666 to 1681 and is a testament to Engineering; it connects the Atlantic with the Mediterranean.
On this cycle trek there are no mountains or steep rises and descends, cycling in the south of France, but as flat as Holland. You cycle an average of 50km per day with a rest day in Carcassonne so you can explore this fortified city.

Day 1
Arrival at your accommodation in Toulouse.
Toulouse is undoubtedly the most beautiful city in the south. Known for its houses of red brick and relaxed atmosphere, this is a city worth visiting.

2nd leg: Castelnaudery - Carcassonne
Today's destination is Carcassonne, UNESCO listed due to its unusual walled 'cité' which was completely restored from 1853 to 1910.

Rest day in Carcassonne
Visit the walled city of Carcassonne in the evening as well, it's spectacularly illuminated at night.
Day 5 | 50 km
3rd leg: Carcassonne - Olonzac
Here you cycle with stunning views of the 'Montagne Noir' in the north and the 'Corbiere' in the south.
Day 6 | 50 km
4th leg: Olonzac - Béziers
Béziers is known as one of the oldest cities in France. You can easily waste an afternoon meandering around its beautiful old town. The beautiful old streets and quaint squares ensure that you can walk around here for hours.
